Although India is one of the largest producers of Ginger in the world, but it’s export share is relatively lower because most of the harvest is sold and used within the country for culinary consumption of extraction of gingerol. There are many varieties of ginger being cultivated in India but Nadia variety stands out as it has less fibre content and the highest yield per acre making it more profitable for the farmers.
