Often known as Suran or Jimikand in India, it is a tropical tuber crop and is widely grown in Maharashtra and many other states of India. Although this crop is also available year-round, but our peak harvest is during the late fall. This is a very attractive crop especially in the poor soil health regions and proves to be very economical to the water starved belts of Maharashtra.
